You've completely missed my point, which may or may not be my fault. Nevertheless...

I thought your point was to create an analogy that illustrated how much of a threat Saddam was to the US and that the US was justified in its invasion and occupation. It was an interesting analogy, but the pieces don't fit. You seem unwilling to defend it, so...I don't know what to think anymore.

You can't do any better than 2 very very partisan web sites? Would you give any credence to links to the dailykos, huffpo, moveon.org, etc. If they were used here to defend an argument?

And as a point of clarification, many--if not most or all--of the "quotes" on the first link came from the period of time where the White House was beating us over the collective heads with WMD. I don't think you've really proven a thing, since absolutely NONE of those people said that they had reviewed the evidence for themselves.

It's hindsight, but I didn't buy the WMD argument then, I don't buy it now, and I think that most of the Dems that are pointed out in your link are a bunch of political moths, just fluttering around whatever casts the most light, and in late 2002 and early 2003, WMD was the light. No heat tho. Funny that almost all of them were presidential candidates in 04. I’m sure there’s no connection there.

BTW, anyone ever seen this site before? http://www.vertic.org/onlinedatabase/unmovic/dsp_unmovicBackground.cfm It looks like site by site records of the inspections in late 02 and early 03 that found absolutely zip. Before we invaded.
