We know what will happen. More mayhem. If we stay? More mayhem. If we go? More mayhem.

How do we get our troops out of there?

By airplane, chopper and boat.

We've already ruined two generations of lives in Iraq. We've already ruined our international reputation in Iraq. We've already ruined tens of thousands of American lives in Iraq. We've already come close to ruining our national economy, and with it, our chances of combatting any of the very real problems we're facing.

And now the fear is that Bushco is plotting another false-flag incident to drag us into war with Iran. (See Zbigniew Brezinski's oped yesterday)

Here's a quote from the oped.

BREZINSKI: Here, for instance, is a plausible scenario for a military collision with Iran: Iraq fails to meet the benchmarks for progress toward stability set by the Bush administration. This is followed by U.S. accusations of Iranian responsibility for the failure, then by some provocation in Iraq or a terrorist act in the United States blamed on Iran, culminating in a "defensive" U.S. military action against Iran. This plunges a lonely United States into a spreading and deepening quagmire lasting 20 years or more and eventually ranging across Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan. END BREZINSKI QUOTE Three carrier groups in or on their way to the Gulf. Amphibious assault ships. Undoubtedly nuclear subs in the region. We are dangerously close to an even worse disaster than the disaster we've already made for ourselves.

And for a picture of life on the ground during wartime, read Riverbend's whole post. Read it and weep.
