Am ensconced in Los Angeles, waiting for my studio to be prepared in Santa Monica, and getting ready to start work on a new movie.  While I'm saddened by your dark thoughts, Pat, I can certainly understand them. My elusiveness has caused even close close friends of mine to throw up their hands in dismay more times than I care to remember.
More of puzzlement (dismay as you put it) plus a bad day led to that buried post that was brought front and center. My question would be "Why so elusivie David?". You are among musical friends here that for the most part lean politically your way and definitely musically your way. The last personal music sabatical you took (in our eyes) was from Triage to AFM and I saw that coming again(Hans Zimmer Announcement). You had mentioned 2 projects forthcoming one was "Solo and I mean Solo" and the orchestra thing neither of which materialized. I guess I was just hoping hard that you somehow change your mind and stay:):). I was venting frustration that was no longer a possibility.

  But as a musician as well as a parent, I have responsibilities, bith to my music and to my family.  For years I've dreamed of a longer, more open-ended music, eternally frustrated by straight songwriting, and have stumbled around looking for it like a blind man in a large, overcrowded room.  I think I may have found a way into that music, as well as a means for supporting my little one, in film music.  I hope you can spiritually support me in that endeavor.

I've never considered this site to be about me, per se.  If anyone is indispensable on this board, it's Dan, for his dedication as well as his cool, calm head. 
I will agree with you there it's his site. Are you saying right wingers dont have cool calm heads? :):)

 This site is about you, and your communication with each other, more than me.  I don't know of any other place where people of such radically differing political and religious beliefs can communicate with one another so readily.  I, for one, have learned a lot about something that has always been a puzzlement to me--namely, the beliefs and reasonings of the hard right.  Not to mention, "cool music alerts", and the like.   So, please, remember, pop music is about the populi, and here, you're it.  I'm just an excuse for you all to talk to each other.  I'm just a member of this board, like anyone else who posts.
Well put...Mr. Baerwald dont be a stranger. Speaking of which this 300,000 was it prophetic or something? :):)
