Ditto.
Remember the atmosphere here around the time of AFM? Everyone was upbeat.
DB found that people really do care about his music. His apprearances on the board were frequent
and informative. He answered our questions and seemed to enjoy our company. Things were good.
PB>>Dale I got into the game here late and I missed all of that (AFM Stuff). I guess I jumped in while it was

Then HCTNFU was released. Things kinda went downhill from there. The mini tour was poorly attended ( but well received!),
the cd didn't sell at all and the hope and enthusiasm of a few months earlier disappeared.
He has always said he was grateful for all of our support and without it HCTNFU would not have been
possible. But that excitement turned to disappointment, for all concerned. And maybe, just maybe,
we're now to blame.
>>I dont think we are to blame. It just happened that way. If anything we were the hope.
Maybe it is time to fold up the tent. I hope I'm wrong.
Just thinking out loud.
>>I'm not leaving entirely but I'm getting involved with developing a new site called

Dale and Pat,
Leave it up to my conservative friends to be the first to abandon hope.
And maybe, just maybe, we're now to blame.
Blame for what? Did our dedication to the artist and enthusiasm for new material cause Lost Highway to
not respond to our offers to participate in the street teams? Did our contacting venues about booking the band, calling radio stations about playing the songs, or giving away
extra copies of the album somehow sabotage it? Like your politics, I just can't follow...
Maybe it is time to fold up the tent. I hope I'm wrong.
>>I cant agree with you more Ian. Politics aside you have been one of the rocks of the site. Not all on the site know your continual
>>contributions but I do. But I came here for the music and the artist and all I'm getting is the politics. If the tide changes I'll
>>jump back on but I do not see that happening anytime soon. I used the words taper off not abandon
As David said on the NCTNFU radio premiere special, the NFU was a suicide mission.
While I'm sad at the way things have gone, while it lasted it was as spectacular as any kamikazi
crashing into the seas next to an aircraft carrier. Bravo for the effort!
>>Well put
David has now wisely decided to return to his home to do what he has to do to provide for his family.
I for one look forward to hearing new stuff in the future, and hope he can do things on the scale of
Hurly Burly.
>>I know his decision had to be economically based and I'm thrilled he got on with Hans Zimmer.
I plan on sticking around as long as anyone needs music through the copying network.
Anytime David can poke his head in just makes it all the better.
>>Good I'll be around just not as much

I agree entirely...let's hang in there. HCTNFU wobbled, but there will be plenty of new and great
things to come, knowing the creative genius of DB.
>>I agree but I see that in a year or so
