Dale and Pat,

Leave it up to my conservative friends to be the first to abandon hope.

And maybe, just maybe, we're now to blame.

Blame for what? Did our dedication to the artist and enthusiasm for new material cause Lost Highway to not respond to our offers to participate in the street teams? Did our contacting venues about booking the band, calling radio stations about playing the songs, or giving away extra copies of the album somehow sabotage it? Like your politics, I just can't follow...

Maybe it is time to fold up the tent. I hope I'm wrong.

As David said on the NCTNFU radio premiere special, the NFU was a suicide mission. While I'm sad at the way things have gone, while it lasted it was as spectacular as any kamikazi crashing into the seas next to an aircraft carrier. Bravo for the effort!

David has now wisely decided to return to his home to do what he has to do to provide for his family. I for one look forward to hearing new stuff in the future, and hope he can do things on the scale of Hurly Burly.

I plan on sticking around as long as anyone needs music through the copying network. Anytime David can poke his head in just makes it all the better.
