well, that was the strength of it, Greenie, that discussions can be opened based upon certain scenes such as Danza's. i suppose one could choose to view that dynamic either way, character consistency or stereotype reinforcement, but in the context of the Cameron character's continual going along with whitey's program at the expense of his own self-respect, i would say that that scene takes on a darker tone. so to speak.

a bit short on subtlety, but i did like the movie and appreciated that it went after such a critical topic in its own kinda clumsy yet occasionally poignant way...i just am not convinced that it deserved best picture, that's all.
