watched it last night, and came away a bit underwhelmed. the locksmith/daughter scene was quite good, and very sweet - seemed like that guy and Don Cheadle were the only two decent people in the movie, everyone else seemed very flawed and, well, racist, and rather unlikable; hard to find a rooting interest in the film. Sandra Bullock (Sandy Buttocks) can not act. lots of characters, tho, i give it that, but it's a bleak pic - no one learned and nothing changed, the final scene just shows how it keeps going around and around, with no end in sight. no doubt the director's intention, but...bleak. which is okay, i don't need a happy-ass ending to my movies, but a sliver of hope would've been nice.
can't see the LA Tourism Board being too pleased with it, it's not exactly a 'come visit beautiful wonderful Lost Angeles' kind of flick, ha ha. Brokeback was a better film overall.
