Equal time to INXS disapproval notwithstanding, ...

This is a Really GOOD FCKN

[cover] BAND...

[...covering their OWN best stuff w/verve & an effective stage.]

One dangerously lovely accomplice, 2 or 5 drinks & an assortment of little plates of food to sample at the Bossa Nova (a lounged-out & unperturbed pen & ink drawings, metal sculpture & burning candle ornate Tapas Bar near the theatre), while the owner spun his own personal mix of INXS tunes, ...was a high-point...before the show.

We won’t go see them again, ...unless they get either Michael Hutchence...or at least Jim Morrison to front the ordeal; ...but seeing them the other night...did not suck.

To say their musicianship is top-notch...iz an understatement.

The opening band:  Dirtie Blonde, from NYC, was pretty dawgone entertaining as well;  a tallented group that formed off of the coffee-house core of a gent on guitar and a lady on the mic.  ...Not just a pretty face aand a slammin' body...& an awesome smile...and a sexxy way with words...& motion, ...but a great set of.....pipes.....as well.  Good songwriting.  They have an album coming out next month.
