Some very fine beers here. And ....they're served super cold on draught which is the way I like it. Some personal picks for me are Boag's from Tasmania, Carlton Draught, and Emu (tried one last night...from WA).
Now an astonishing fact for Americans. There is no tipping of bartenders here. It is not done. I was about to, in my friend's pub in Bondi when he nearly slapped my hand. It's regarded as nearly an insult.
You can tip at a restaurant..but only if it's outstanding service, and then 10%. Cabs, I usually just round off the fare and they seem to appreciate that.
