I notice that further down you were probing the style of art you want to use on the forthcoming cd and thinking about Japanese calligraphy - which Jeff is struggling to get his head around. Did you get into Japanese culture through your Dad's influence...my God aren't they an aggressive and humourless bunch of people, I mean if a japanese person invited me to a party I'd be thinking 'oh shit how do I get out of this one!'...I'd have to make up a lie and tell them my cat was ill or something. From what little I know about the place I've come to the conclusion that Japan and Germany would be hell on earth for a gregariously hairy little fecker like moi. Enjoyed the article, is your Dad really a professor, cos my father-in-law is a professor of ancient roman history and he talks the hind leg of a donkey at all times, all about romans...speaking of which now there was also another dour feckin' bunch of miscreants, up to no good like the nips and krauts...hmmm a Dad who was German, immersed in Japanese culture who became a naturalised American...sounds really intriguing
