With regard to Pat Fitzpatrick, I fear that a pardon looms on the horizon which will put an end to the matter before justice can run it's course. All they have to do is come up with reasons to stall the court date long enough. They have already announced that the court date is a year from now, but I think that date will come and more delays will be put in place. And then, it will all go away with the stroke of a pen.

But I appreciate the spirit of your post. Where can I find more information on the war on ideas you mentioned? I think you are right that the situation we are in now is not by accident.

It's a bit like how Bush was charged with desertion and then Kerry was charged with something else, and in the minds of the public, the two cancelled each other out to the extent that the real issue (the former) was lost in the muddle.
