Kevin - I respect your stance on a woman's right to choose or not choose as the case may be - I don't agree that government should intervene in the matter, however. I would be interested in knowing your position on stem cell research.
As for me, I am in favor of stem cell research. I doubt some of its supporter's claims as to how profound such research can be, but I think some of the progress recently - treating some bone diseases in general and leukemia in particular- are promising and exciting. It would be naive for me to think we’ve seen all there is to see with stem cell research. So, when I say I doubt some of the supporter’s claim – I surely don’t dismiss them – I’m a scientist by trade and doubting is what we do best. Here’s a decent website about scr – sure it’s propaganda – but it’s worth a look.
