We can certainly go back and forth on bias, but as Dan said about the finger - was it captured on video tape? If so, it would have hit the airwaves non-stop.
Also, when some of the events happend to Bush, Kerry was a candidate, therefore, a media outlet with a video of a President surely would run it quicker and more often than if a candidate was caught with his or pants down - that is unless one is Howard Dean.
So Kevin, what about Dean and his "scream"? When it happened Dean was thought to be the front runner, so what about the media bias there? (And in my opinion, this is an interesting issue of non-political bias versus business bias to me - recall, the Dean Scream happened not long after he said he would break up big media. The media did not play that tape in the proper context, so could it have been to do with Dean's comments about breaking up big media, instead of purely politics?).
As for Bob Dole's "fall", here is how I saw that- it was such an odd thing to see - if it bleeds, it leads - that it was repeated over and over again. Also, there was a concern about his health at the time, so that added to the media frenzy, not a political bias. In contrast, go back to the 92 election and do a re-cap on the Clinton draft issue.
Hell, go rent The War Room and listen to Bush and Mary Matlin make an issue of Clinton's draft issue. Then, compare that to how the republicans are scowling now over the mention of Bush's "military" record.
As for Kerry's ski slope fall, THAT was carried heavily in the media. If one recalls, there was plenty of photos of Kerry in his preppie like clothing.
