I have an old stereo, a 21" (?) sony trin. from 1990, a DVD player and a stereo. This is how I get surround sound, wide screen experience without a lot of money.
1. I sit my chair up right in front of the TV.
2. I turn the stereo up real loud.
3. when something exciting happens like an explosion or crash, I stamp my feet on the floor. (virtual subwoofer)
4. I have my oldest throw stuff at me for 3-D effect.
It works...and it's cheap!
I rubberband my remotes together...there's two of em. When the batteries go out, I have the oldest go change the channel for me...and I throw stuff at her...for the 3-D effect.
That's it. Ain't no mo'!
