I figured perhaps Mike Whatley, whomever he is (he is a Trump loyalist) was running the show and Lara was there just to keep an eye on things to make sure all the money was going to Donald. From what I read it sounds like Lara is in charge and bullying the living shit out of people and oversaw that mass firing so that they can basically roll the RNC into the Trump campaign, and make sure anybody that ends up on staff is a Trump toady that will do whatever he wants.
So, according to Republicans, you can now consider the RNC gone, it is has been eliminated and is just the Trump campaign and Lara is there to make sure nobody questions that. There is no doubt about who is running the show now, Lara is the boss.
