Tomorrow I'll get to see 1st hand how people react to Biden as I go to his Atlanta stop on the campaign trail. The SOTU was a fiery speech and I think he hit almost all if not all of the hot points. He was quick on his feet handing everything back to the GQP that they gave to him. (I, once again, called Marge's office to complain about her disgusting behavior and lack of work on behalf of her constituents.) I really liked the topics that he hit on.

I hope that the 30 and 40 year old women that I was talking to last night, before the SOTU, take the time to listen to Biden's speech. They had concerns that he did not defend women's abortion rights and other women's issues enough, have fallen for the "he's just way too old and will probably die before the election" bull shit, and that he just wasn't progressive enough. And these were liberal women. A friend and I, both who are older than they are, tried to reassure them that he has been talking quite a bit about abortion rights and that he has many more healthy happy habits than "his predecessor". I've heard a quote that if you can't find a bus that will take you to exactly where you want to go, then you need to take a bus that will get you closest to where you want to go. I talked to them about Biden being the "bus" that will get us closest to where we want to go. I know they won't vote for trump, but by talking like that, some of them may not vote OR may discourage others from voting. I'm going to encourage them to watch the speech so that many of their concerns can be assuaged. I really don't think they can visualize what America could look like with Christian Nationalist fascists in charge of everything so prospects don't seem as dire to them.

From here on out though, I know that I am fired up and ready to go and fight to make sure that Biden wins, and as David alluded to, Democrats up and down the ballot are elected as well.
