...I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. - Jesus, Matt.15:24

Doctrinally Doctrinally Doctrinally, Jesus was not speaking to Christians. He was speaking to Jews. He healed Jews. He specifically told his disciples to stick to the Jews when he sent them off discipling.

Live large, read the text.

Jews are not Christians. God has different doctrinal expectations of Jews, than Christians. How God expects each group to approach him, is not the same. Jews aren't expected to sacrifice animals. There's a huge difference between the practice of The Law and the Age of Grace.

However, apart from doctrinal differences: "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be throughly furnished unto all good works". To the Christian, Matthew has prophetic value, inspirational value; but most of all: ... Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. - Matt 4:4

peaceably,

ps there's an irony contained herein, but I'm betting no one catches it. One of you silent Christians should but I doubt it.
