Each time I hear arguments such as you pose, I'm reminded of the cowboy who used to be the manly picture of the healthy smoker.

He died at a young age of lung cancer caused by his smoking.

Guns are manly. Guns are profitable to its manufacturers and sellers as are cigarettes and other tobacco products are to their makers and sellers.

Too, imagine the slaughter in that theater in Colorado, had the shooter had a gun such as those the founding fathers thought we should always be able to bear.

I see no sense in trying to outlaw guns in this country, but guns that are intended to be used in the military have no place circulating at large.

To argue that the American citizen needs guns in order to rebel against a government gone mad forgets that the government's capacity to kill far exceeds anything imagined by our founders.

I have a 22, 2 shotguns, and a 25 caliber pistol. That list stretches the number anyone should have or needs. Anything more deadly ought to be outlawed, period!
