MJG may own guns and I am totally cool with that. It is our right and it also a responsibility that I take very seriously. And he should too but unfortunately he demonstrated a very basic mistake that would get him laughed out of any gun store and I even pointed it out in my original post and he still didn't get it. The devices that hold ammunition for the evil black gun in question here (or MJG's semi auto handguns for that matter) are not called clips. They are called magazines and you will look like a newbie to call them anything else. But it is an easy mistake to make because the media always calls them clips, demonstrating their own misconceptions and lack of knowledge.

But I guess the damned scary black gun everybody is so focused on and wrongly call an "assault rifle" is what we are talking about ( yet again) because of some moron in Colorado that I guess according MJG was some right wing nutjob (yeah right).

You want the government to regulate this type of weapon and make it illegal (again) because you wrongly blame the gun and not the shooter. I happen to own the very exact rifle (same model, same mfg) that the idiot in Colorado used that everyone so upset about. It is a fantastic platform for hunting coyote and groundhogs and that is what I use mine for. I don't have some delusional mindset that I would even think about what MJG suggested about republicans being shot (did he forget about Reagan?). I don't want to shoot anybody.

The moron in Aurora also completely broke the law by using a 100 round magazine. A bad one at that. It jammed on him. Although it is not illegal to own one in my state, it is very illegal to attach it to your rifle. And so why would you do it unless you just want to prove that you can break the law in a manner even a rightwing nutjob would be appalled by?

It is not the gun dammit. It is the person you should focus on. If we look at Rohm Emmanual (however you spell his name) and his first year as Chicago's mayor, his city has some of the harshest gun laws in the country and yet the murder rate (by guns) climbed 36% on his watch. Criminals will have guns regardless of the law because they are lawless. and law abiding citizens get neutered.

You also elect politicians to come up with laws to make scary things go away but you always elect idiots that don't have a clue what they talking about. Most of you don't know either and so if you don't know what you are talking about can we as gun owners really feel like you are making the best decisions on our behalf?
