There is something deep down and almost primitive when it comes to Americans and their guns. It's almost like there is this psycho-sexual thing there - and when I say "psycho-sexual" I do not mean crazy, but that there is something deep in our American psychology when it comes to firearms and that the sexual part deals with the definition of American masculinity when it comes to guns. Let's face it - for some reason America is a fearful nation. We have this odd duality to our persona where we are one of the biggest chickenshit nations in the world. We really are. On top of that, the mentality of this guns, which I think shows a link to our zombie like fetish toward guns is that we have this unnatural fear of being invaded. I don't know, maybe this unnatural fear is related to how we have behaved ourselves as a nation through our history - how we have treated those we have conquered and now we have this deep seated fear of being conquered and treated like those in our past. Sure, some will scoff at this, but really, look at who some of the biggest gun proponents are - fat, old, white, pasty men - and of course, the American Ignorant who fall for this shit (like the Fast and Furious bullshit - where was this bastard Issa when this shit started under Bush?!?). And let's face it, the NRA is supported by the gun manufacturers. It's about selling guns. Nothing more. They don't give a shit about American safety because too many Americans die by gunfire each year to show that they do really care about Americans. That morally bankrupt organization only cares about cash from gun makers. And let's be honest - too many Americans love guns because they have an issue with their own security and who they are. Firearms are called the great equalizers and allow immature boys to feel like well rounded men.Oh, the point of all this is don't let the bastards get you down and keep on fighting....
