Dan, I nearly fell out of my chair when I first read the subject of this thread. I thought you were actually going to defend O'Reilly!! lol

#1 Paris Hilton....I agree he should not have posted the stills. What's the point? Oh I know....sweeps.

O'Reilly: "Now, let's look at some of this Paris Hilton stuff.  And I don't feel sorry for this dopey woman, as I stated....she's getting what she deserves for being foolish"

DAN: *** I take this to mean that if someone (anyone!) tapes themselves having sex then they should be punished by having every one who desires have access to the tapes.  Or does it mean that if you're "dopey" then you deserve people being able to watch private videos you may make?  ***

I totally agree with O'Reilly's comment. He's not talking about "anyone", Dan. He's talking about Paris Hilton. Paris Hilton is not "anyone". She is, for want of a better term, a celebrity. She is constantly in the public eye and she'll do anything to stay there. If she allows herself to be taped while having sex she should know there is a risk of that tape becoming public. If she's never heard of Pam and Tommy or Vince Neil and his gal or even Tonya and her hubby, then "dopey" is not how I'd describe her. Stupid is a better description. His opinion is dead on.

#2 Britney....O'Reilly has criticized rap. He has ignored Britney. Why? Because he doesn't know anyone who's bought anything by her. So what? He probably knows hundreds of people who have hundreds of daughters. No one he knows talks about Britney. Personally I know one person; my 12 yr old niece. She wants to be just like Britney. Good idea? Probably not. Is Britney's potential impact on our youth more concerning than hard core rap? Definitely not.

*** One - he said he didn't know a single person who would ever buy her CDs.  What?!  Does it matter if he doesn't know someone who bought her CD? ***

I'm confused Dan. Are you saying he should begin accusing Britney as much as he has accused rap for (possibly) corrupting our youth?
