Well, to begin with, I can pretty much gaurantee you that the sordid lives of Ms's Hilton and Spears are definately not talking points of the right. In the case of Paris Hilton in particular, don't we all just want her to go away already?
I've said here before that I'm not exactly a fan of O'Reilly's. Although more often than not I tend to basically align with his political take on things, I seem to almost always be at odds with him in terms of his views on pop culture. I would agree too with Edlorah that O'Reilly's got a pompous, one-sided attitude towards the opinion's of other's (they mean nothing if not mirroring his own), which isn't a very productive way to win the hearts of the left. I see him as more of a cheerleader for the right than anything. A sort of conservative version of Michael Moore if you know what I mean.
With regard to Brittany, I concur with you that O'Reilly is way out of the loop on that one. She's got a big time fan base alright (and only God knows why imo). Yeah, I'm sure he knows people whose kids own her music, but it's also probably a reasonable conclusion that he isn't hanging out with any of them. That doesn't make her any less popular of course. It's just that in O'Reilly world, she apparently isn't.. I always remember to take that for what it's worth...
Oh, and I'd like to say hello and welcome to the dbi message board Don!. It's always refreshing to see an enthusiastic new face around here.
