I feel like I'm writing from a great distance across time and space. I haven't visited or contributed here in years but I heard about the changes at DBIS from Kevin G., who I've managed to stay in contact with. I just wanted to say that I'll always have a little soft spot for DBIS and I appreciate all that you've done, Dan, to keep it going for the past three decades.
I made quite a few friends in the time I haunted this place and actually got to meet a half dozen of you in person over the years, some in Seattle, some on the East Coast. Good folks all!
PS. Dan is right about Sam Fender. He's fantastic! I saw him play in Seattle earlier this year. He's hardly known in the States but he's apparently huge in the UK. He cites Springsteen as a major influence and it shows.
Ah, America. There's just so much you don't get.
