I agree with you on social media as brain rot - and mostly on screen time. Endless hours of video gaming and or tik tok scrolling is simply a waste of time. Getting your world view from youtube and or tik tok is dangerous. Peter - when your kid was growing up - you had TV mostly as an attention suck for your kid. As a parent of a (now!) 8 year old (birthday on the 9th) - we still have TV to contend with - but now its unlimited short attention span shows. I don't mind that too too much - but the social media - that's my biggest worry. Not just for my kid - but for my kid's peers - the ones he's going to model after and follow. As far as I know - I think I have the youngest kid of the regular posters here. Anyone else have some life experience here?
