Ha... that's great!  Makes me want to get both biographies for my upcoming road trip.  On a related note, Reg, you asked if I liked New Zealand cinema.  I'll say my favorite movie is Map of the Human Heart.  Have you seen any of Vincent Ward's work?  I wonder what you think of him.

To add a factual writer's embellishment, on my 50th birthday my wife gifted me his book of photography.  Coming via NZ it had some shipping difficulties so she told me some guy Vincent was helping her sort out the details.  Out of curiosity and anticipation I jumped in and, sure enough, I now had in full possession the direct email of one of my favorite movie directors.  This was in 2020 and I crafted an email back to share how much his film had influenced my lens on the world.  Yet I was genuinely torn between wanting to pass on my genuine appreciation and fearing coming off as a drooling fanboy.  To date, the email remains unsent.
