I don't think I've ever sat down for a full listen of this album. Gotta say I love the cover art. There's something about it that makes me think of 60s era Rolling Stones.

As for the music on this debut album - good. From what I could gather from AMG this group was supposed to be huge but this debut let them down. It made me search out some other releases. A label (Omnivore Recordings) released their demos prior to this release as well as a live disc (when Maria McKee was 19). Those are better I think. The live set is really fun.
Thanks for the suggestion Peter T. Any other 80s band you (or anyone else) can recommend that might be a little under the 21st century radar?
