And I know this is a thoroughly shallow observation, but I agree, Dan, her eyes, unlike any others. As to the Bangles music, it's slicker than I typically like, though Manic Monday is always welcome here.
Yesterday, I pulled out music from that era which featured another female singer more to my tastes: Lone Justice's Maria McKee. Their debut album holds up, really rocks! And Maria's vocals, ranging from really raw power, to quite delicate moments, a really rare and welcome combination. She should be huge!
Favorites: Ways to be Wicked, Sweet Sweet Baby, and Soap Soup and Salvation.
In late 86, I was happily entranced watching them at the edge of the stage of Boston's Paradise Rock Club, wonder if a very young Reg might have also been in attendance?
