I can understand why someone of your beliefs might be sensitive to the accusation
of Naziism, and I won't go into the long history of the ties (including George Sr's father Prescott Bush)  between Nazis and American industrialists and power brokers.

But in this instance I wasn't drawing that parallel. Actually, I was referring more to the similarity between Rove's (and Weyrich's and Huebeck's) understanding of the nature of propaganda and Goebbel's.  In general, I think this is as good a time as any to increase our awareness of the history and usage of propaganda, as we are all seeing an awful lot of it these days.  Goebbels was among the most avid and successful students of this sleazy art, and it seems that Rove is a student of the Meister, as any self-respecting Machiavellian would have to be.    Anyone who can blithely state that the truth is unimportant to debate is an enemy of the truth, and as such, an enemy of the people. He's your enemy, too, Richard.  Rove's statements bespeak an endless contempt; for "the masses", (namely, us) for democracy, for justice, and for just about everything else that I  personally value in this big, beautiful, brutal riddle of a country that we all share.

I was sort of happy to see that your tail had lost none of its bushiness, but I'm remembering now what an abusive, thoughtless chatterbox you can be, and wonder why you choose to bombard this particular page with your parroted inanities.

yrs,
