We do have to find a way to cope. Last night I held Julia while she cried. I know that will probably be a regular thing. She cried not for us or because she hates Trump, she cried because she has so much empathy for others and she grasps that there will be tremendous suffering for so many to come. And that it did not have to be that way.

I read that there is a cruise line offering a 4 year cruise around the world so you will not be in the US for the entire Trump presidency. It costs $159,000 per person for two people, or $254,000 for a single person. I looked at that and thought that's not bad if you have the money and freedom to leave the country for 4 years. I also thought, what would you be coming back to if you return to the United States 4 years from now? Trump's presidency is geared to be about the total destruction of this country and all of the pillars that hold it up. I mean he just appointed a total clown FOX news host to be Secretary of Defense.

I mean we have to see how he is going to accomplish the things he is saying he is going to accomplish. People keep saying "Well, he won't be able to do this because people will not cooperate."

They said, and I believe it is true, that military leaders would not obey his orders to attack US citizens, but he has moved to create a committee that will wipe out military leadership and give him "Hitler's generals" that will open fire on his own citizens.

Will that happen? I don't know, I still have issues imagining it. However, no US president has done this kind of thing before and he is doing it. He seems to be filling positions with the worst possible people intentionally. It does not look like a mistake.

I don't know how we can avoid seeing it and I am not sure we should. I think awareness in a time like this will probably be important. Plus, in this type of situation, the new dictator will generally do something so horrifying nobody can escape it...to make a point.
