Dale, Pat, Marc and their friends are familiar archetypes in the history of fascism. I don't think Dale nor Pat nor Marc would lift a finger to stop the holocaust that they helped bring. They would pretend it wasn't happening, or that the victims had it coming, or that it was all 'liberal propaganda.'

They have been taught to believe absurdities, and are thus open to accept atrocities.
