I am not promoting a conspiracy here, and personally, I feel horrible for all involved. However, I do see some very weird aspects to this war and something about it really seems way off. I admit I do not at all trust Netanyahu and before this breaks out he is sitting in a bad spot. Unpopular, known to be corrupt, creating a judicial crisis in Israel that is tearing the people apart...and then boom, we get an attack by Hamas perfectly timed to take place in the midst of Jewish holidays. A time that would drive up even more sympathy for Israel and more backing for Netanyahu.

Always asking the question "Who benefits?" in situations like this, weirdly the answer seems to be one person...Netanyahu. He gets the bump from this, everybody else, Israel, Hamas, Palestinians, Iran, the rest of the world loses. All the innocent people in this on both sides getting slaughtered are also obviously losing here.

This was is being sold to us in the US in a huge way. Basically from the Netanyahu perspective of wiping Hamas off the face of the Earth. OK, no doubt Hamas did a horrible thing and really they have no way of winning here, they attacked and now will pay an enormous price for it because they are basically no match for Israeli forces.

Here's the weird part, Netanyahu put out a statement that stinks so much of total bullshit about how they "missed" that this attack was coming that is beggars belief. I mean there is likely no intelligence operation more on the ball than the Israelis watching what is going on with Hamas. they miss nothing. Hamas farts, they know 5 minutes before it happens. So, I don't believe Netanyahu's story here.

Backing this up, Egyptian intelligence says they saw this coming and warned Netanyahu personally that it was happening and he said "Thanks." and then did absolutely nothing. Now, I have to figure if the Egyptians knew, Netanyahu knew before them. Mossad would have had that first, before the Egyptians I would say. In fact, I think you could probably bet the house on that. So, did Netanyahu know this was coming and let it happen to...well...wag the dog? If he did, Israelis should get rid of this guy in a hurry.

His popularity goes up, he starts promoting this like the Israeli 9/11, and saying he will wipe Hamas off the map and everybody backs him on that as he tries to "change the Middle East forever."

He has the US in the middle of it now going after Iran.

My take is something stinks, and Netanyahu is not a guy to be trusted...by anyone.
