Almost no other media outlet is covering this story from what I have seen (I learned about it from Rawstory, HuffPost and Drudge. Of course, Rawstory is pretty radical at times, but not the Huffpost and Drudge is mostly a gossip rag.
Late last night while trying to fall asleep I started wondering if this was a sick Conservative hoax or ploy and if this Louisville Courier-Journal paper was some sort of conservative rag, but it is not. It is a legitimate newspaper and actually the newspaper in KY with the highest circulation.
It also has a follow-up article today that a spot in KY has now opened for this nomination and still from what I have seen, no one has provided any more coverage.
Just a bizarre tale.
Hell, maybe Biden is doing this so the Senate can vote it down and he can claim to McConnell he tried.
And actually, I'm not too afraid of 24 because at least then we know Dem voters will uptick in a presidential year and after the possibility of two years of continued right-wing extremes from a Repub controlled Senate maybe two years of pain leading to a good Dem year in 2024.
Also, I saw a good piece on this 1 million vote swing and it is not as dire as it sounds.
