So, to make sure we are on the same page, I'm trying to look at elected officials that want to interfere with and have intentionally made efforts to end or block free speech. If companies, schools, universities, have policy that specifically asks those that work or attend there not to approach certain topics or inflammatory speech...this is not, I repeat not, government shutting down free speech. 

Honestly, the stuff you are pointing to at universities is primarily all about the race, gender, equality stuff. I do not view that as dangerous, the intent is to do good and be fair, whereas from the Right the intent to destroy free speech has a much more sinister goal. 

I find these loony leftists annoying. I find your friends that now avoid you bizarre. I don't find them dangerous nor do I find them a threat to our society. I am in the same boat as you, Peter, friends have dumped me over what I find, sort of strange items. 

I will repeat what I said before, as much as we find wacko woke folk annoying the truth is the elected people that lean further to the left DO NOT GET TO MAKE POLICY...unless it is minor, like who can use a bathroom. The elected Right wing lunatics at the state and federal levels MAKE lots of policy that is far more destructive to free speech than anything some odd woman in an online seminar for an Oklahoma university will ever be able to inflict. 

I mean it just does not equate to me and I don't see the threat from the wacko left in government because everyone shits all over them. They are at the bottom of the pole. The far right hates them, the center right hates them, the center left hates them, media hates them, and the majority of the voting public sits somewhere between slight right and slight left leaning. 

They do not win hearts and minds.

The Republicans, all of them, are shitting all over Joe Manchin right now and he is basically one of them. Useless as fuck, bought and paid for, and could give two shits what voters think or want. Hooray!
