Icon Woodman's of Essex...

Well, being a Massachusetts guy I've been to Woodman's on plenty of occasions. Not in a while though as the last time I was there I thought it was pretty horrible leaving me with no urge to return. You are correct, there is certainly better if you are searching out fried seafood. It is more tourist trap than dining destination, I think. Plus the lines it attracted were always an issue. Friends from New York recently came to visit and wanted me to take them up to Woodman's but I steered them away from that and took them to Maine instead.

During the time up there that I referred to though we did not go to Woodman's mostly we drank at Gloucester bars and I believe at an old red double decker English bus by the roadside there in Essex. Gloucester mostly though as we were young and carousing and I was under age with a fake ID and those Gloucester bars were pretty lax about that whole thing at the time.

I think I am just in a depression these days and looking back at how things were in comparison to how they have become. It has become clear to me that I miss seeing people's faces while I am out and the mask thing is having an effect on me. Essentially leaving me feeling down and more separated from the world.

I really am looking forward to an end of this virus and of this moron being president. Every damn day seems to be a raging insult to being a thinking human being. Plus I mean, it does feel like parts of this nation are about to erupt into a frenzy of violence. Those Wisconsin cops shooting a father in the back seven times right in front of his young children was just disgusting. Perfect kick-off to the insane RNC nonsense though I guess where they idiotically had those two morons that pointed guns at protesters as speakers.

It's all so surreal and fucking depressing.
