After all the insane stuff he has said Trump was just asked the other
day, "What are the three most important things you believe government
should provide?"
His answer...
"Protection (from the threat of terrorists), education, and
healthcare."
I was thinking, what happened? Did he hit his head? Well, he did
follow-
up by stating, "Really, the top three are protection, protection, and
protection." and so education and healthcare were sort of pushed to 4 and
5.
Mostly what the Department of Education does is provide funding to
support education. They don't really go around telling people what to do
other than to try to maintain some sort of minimum standards. So, they
are an important part of our government where the money is actually well
spent. They are not something that is a "big government" problem that
needs to be eliminated.
I am in agreement with Robert Reich that Trump is all over the map
with
what he says because he really does not believe most of what he says. It
is all just wildly throwing stuff out there to see what gets attention.
So, he seems to flip flop constantly because he can't keep track of what
bullshit he last threw out there. He does not recall what position he
said he had at any given moment.
They claim there is no script for Trump, so he is not really
memorizing
talking points the way somebody like Hillary does or most "professional"
politicians do. He is just winging it and their campaign motto is
supposed
to be "Let Donald be Donald."
