I hear your concern, Dale, and I share it to a degree. There is a libertarian view that business owners should be free to discriminate against whomever they wish to. The business's success would then rise or fall based upon how the public at large felt about that discriminatory policy. I understand the point but can't embrace it.

I am not always in lockstep with my fellow liberals. I think the quashing of free speech on college campuses, or anywhere for that matter, is abhorrent. Recently, Brandeis University disinvited prominent Islam critic (and former Muslim) Ayaan Hirsi Ali from speaking, owing to her strong criticism of that faith. DB, Judge Brandeis, and others have often said that sunlight is the best disinfectant. Similarly, it's been said that the cure for free speech is more free speech.

So, we've shared ideas and concerns, and hopefully done so in a respectful way. Sounds like progress? Now, if you could similarly lay-out a case for progressive rock, I'm ready. :)
