Icon The end of Republicans as we have known them...

There really is little question that the Republican Party is now going to have to try to find a way to reinvent itself.

Most of the population of the United States does not agree with them on social issues.

Most of the United States does not agree with them about raising taxes on the wealthiest Americans.

Most of the United States does not agree with them on foreign policy issues.

Most of the United States feels that the Obama administration has kept our country safer and did a far better job dealing with terrorism than the Bush Administration ever did.

Most of the United States believes that Republican candidates are out of touch with their values and the principals they live by.

Most of the United States felt that the Tea Party and their agenda has been harmful to the Republican Party and has no place in American politics.

So, the only aspect of the Republican agenda that remains to attract voters is the idea that Republicans would return to some sort of fiscally conservative agenda but there are no indications they would do this. Combine this with the idea that the last Republican president was in no way fiscally conservative and you have a political party that is headed the way of the Dodo bird.

Where is the Republican Party headed and are there any Republicans that will step up and say "When it comes to change we need to look in the mirror?"
