Speaking of Marillion, their Brave album might be a good choice too, albeit a long one at 70+ minutes, but she might identify with it.  It's a concept album about a young woman who is talked down from jumping off a bridge, and goes through the circumstances of her life that brought her to that point.  It is a bit depressing as it chronicles her life, but is cathartic in that it ends on a positive note asserting that she is, well, brave for facing her life's problems.
