I can tell you Kelly, I've been through this before, with a teenage girl. After her suicide attempt, she was put in Maclean Hospital. I remember the thing that really tore me up was the way she looked when I went to visit her there. The look in her eyes, on her face, was truly terrifying to me, because it was all right there. She looked as if she had totally lost it. I was not prepared for that when I walked in. The look in her eyes and how her face had changed so much in such a short period of time. It seemed to have happened in the blink of an eye. And she was so far away as we talked. I remember sitting in the car in the parking lot thinking, Jesus Christ I hope these people can help this girl, can reach her, because she just seemed oceans away from where I was, sitting in some little shitty room in a mental institution. She wasn't there with me and I had no idea where the hell she was. So, I know the feeling of just wanting to get there, where ever they are, so you can help.

Later, when they had moved her to a house with other troubled teens, when I visited her there, she was better. She's ok now too. This all goes back some 14 years. She's got a good job and made something of her life. I only hear about her now through the occasional call or letter from an old friend. But she made it, put her troubles behind her and built a good life for herself.
