Icon Summer Film Crop

Aside from music & politics....

I am a big movie fan. I was just curious to see what you all have thought about this summer’s crop of movies. Both the sequels and the ones with sort of original ideas.

I am always willing to try to seek out the little films. Sometimes it pays off, often it does not.

The best little film I found this year was MAY. A quirky horror flick with a great lead performance by Angela Bettis. It just hit DVD this week

I am still trying to get to Spellbound, Whale Rider, 28 Days Later & Garage Days.

Of the major films: I have to say the silly Pirates of the Caribbean film was the most fun, thanks to Mr. Depp.

Finding Nemo I think is an instant classic. I never imagined that Ellen Degeneress could overshadow Albert Brooks, but she does.

The Hulk was also a pleasant surprise. I still can't quite figure why the critics and public seemed so down on this film.  It seems they found it to talky (I think the meant to smart for a comic book character.

T3 - better than the trailers would lead you to believe

Matrix- stunk

Any little movie suggestions that are out on DVD or video.................        Besides They Live??

Just wondering

Roger
