Point of fact: During 6 of Reagan's years, the Republicans controlled the Senate.
You earlier mentioned, John, that you identify yourself as a moderate Republican. You are therefore a dying breed in the GOP as the party has been hijacked by the Christian Right (no offense to Kevin G. who in no way would I characterize as part of this bigoted group).
