I have no interest in defending this president anymore than you do. I'd say I'm a moderate republican, and I thought Bush and Gore were both morons. The fact that those 2 boobs were the best we have to offer speaks volumes about the current political climate. I just thought you'd like to hear a different perspective. The notion that this Republican president who spends like a drunken sailor suddenly nullifies 50 years of the Democrats doing the same is a bit odd.

Again, I don't think Bush is the savior or anything close to it. But from an economics standpoint, I don't think what is happening is out of charactor with what any other administration, Democrat or Republican has done in similar situations in the past.
