"Save the Whales, I never met a Whale I didn't like"
The End of the Line: http://www.t5m.com/the-end-of-the-line
Viewed this film last night, disturbed by the irrefutable facts. Even though I already had an idea of the intricate state of affairs (having snorkeled along coastal gillnets in search of the day’s beachfront sushi treat on the rising sun shores of Okinawa in the mid '80s---and that technology has long since been enhanced to a devastating degree with bottom trawling).
However, I remain humbled & puzzled as to how I can measure up as any sort of activist on the subject. ..Suppose I can start by wholeheartedly recommending you see the film for yourself.
I agree with Geno, as far as politics [and pipelines] serving only certain interests and NOT the essential truths that are fast becomming more and more difficult to obscure under the gray bubbling jelly of a myopic misinformation mill. Until the uh.. preponderates-that-be mature (develop, evolve?) enough as human beings and begin to weigh these matters straightforwardly, aren't we all just willing pins at the business end of the alley? That's what bugs me most every day, even the good days. WE can talk 'til we're what?
Are these things at least beginning to sink in(to the legislative branches)? …Do you think? Ed? Brad? You two are seagoing & activist enough to take a stab at this, no? ...Andrea?
