It sucks that nuts do what they do. Once again though, it appears to me that this was a guy whose whole life was a solid shout out for intervention of some kind. Didn't he have quite the rap sheet, including hard time? I would not be so cavalier as to offhandedly say "this kind of thing's the price we must pay for living in a free society." Again, it sucks that nuts do what they do.On the other hand, traffic fatalities--of which some few are premeditated-- approach what, 40,000 per year, and we don't hear calls for outlawing cars.Sans his guns, that same nut no doubt would have found a way to carry out his evil scheme. It may have been worse, in fact, as a couple of other nutjobs showed us in Oklahoma back in 1995.I'm not really a gun advocate. I just wouldn't want to see laws (or constitutional amendments/provisions) changed on the basis of what a nut does. Fear reactions can make very bad laws. I hate that an innocent guy, just doing his job, did not get to sit down with his family at that night's dinner.At the very least, the nut who did it is caught, and once again this monstrous ideology of his is exposed for the absolute lunacy that it is.
