I gotta tellya Reg, I'm surprised by Mr Obama and Mrs Palin being on the ballet. I do get your point about the historic fascination but neither is really qualified to hold the positions they now aspire to.

Further, you seem to be missing my essential point, that being Mr Obama is being thrust upon the electorate essentially from out of nowhere. Such events DO NOT OCCUR without powerful backing, very powerful backing. Thus Barack has been anointed, etc etc etc, with particular objectives in mind. He's not going to the head of the class just because HE wants to. It's more than a fresh face lift for the party.

We're tired, as we always are at the tail end of the season but the thought is appreciated and as ever - agree or disagree- back at ya! :)
