Are you saying the bail-out should have passed? The Democrats had a chance to shine? Shine how? By passing the bail-out? I have no clue what you are talking about? If Pelosi blew up the deal with her speech you should be sending her a thank you card! The only thing that's going on here is the majority of the public does not want to give 700 billion to Wall Street fat cats that blew it on their own. Why should we bail them out? The market sank yesterday, which was expected. It's up today I don't know if they expected that. The whining you are hearing in Washington is all about these politicians on both sides not wanting any credit for passing this plan or even the reasons it has been proposed. They would probably give the money away if they thought the American people would not hold them responsible for doing so. They know if they vote to pass this plan the public will not vote for them come election time and it will forever be a huge card an opponent can use against them if they vote for it. That's also why during the debate both Obama and McCain would not commit to the plan even when asked several times if they support it. No politician wants to be responsible for a 700 billion dollar giveaway that will only lead to the government getting asked for even more money. It's a 700 billion dollar band-aid.So, you should send Pelosi flowers if she blew it up. The thing is the Republicans are just using that as an excuse at this point and it's a sad one. They claim they did not vote for it because Pelosi blamed them for the problem! That's a joke! They are not standing by their president and for good reason...BECAUSE HE'S WRONG AGAIN! They can't say it though because they are trying to win an election so instead they create a smoke screen about Pelosi being mean to them. That's horse shit bro and you should be able to see through it. This is mostly the fault of the Republicans, not 100% but the split is probably 80-20 with the Republicans being 80% at fault. Who cares at this point though about who is to blame, it is now about what should be done and I don't think giving billions more to people who just lost trillions is a good move...in fact it seems amazingly stupid...do you get that? McCain turned it into a partisan pissing match with his bullshit "I'm suspending my campaign to solve this!" and then going to DC and doing absolutely nothing about it. He said nothing in the meeting with the president. Obama did most of the talking drilling Paulson with questions. McCain sat there with his thumb up his ass and then was told by his fellow Republicans to get the hell out of DC and do the debate because you are creating more of an issue here. I assume you do not want this bail-out to go through because that would be the "conservative" position. Or are you for it? I can't tell what you are saying...
