I'm not an atheist though I'm drawn to atheism's contemporary proponents (Dawkins, Harris, Hitchens, Dennett). I sense, or perhaps I'm just hopeful, that there is something divine out there, but I might be totally wrong. I feel that organized religion, and its scriptures, are man-made creations, and no god worth being called God would care to be associated with many of the actions that those books demanded of their adherents. Too often, people associate religion with God, and I think that's a mistake.
