My favorite R.E.M. discs in order:
- “Reckoning”
- “Life’s Rich Pageant”
- “Automatic For The People”
There worst is still by far, the five-star rated (by Rolling Stone magazine, typical for the crap music publication that it is and has been for decades) “Monster“.
New disc is respectable enough and a return to form, but just like U2, a re-hash of their earlier catalog and offers very little new.
R.E.M.‘s live show has been very much a bore, ever since they moved from the club shows to the small theatre circuit back in the 80’s.
