Unless and until gasoline prices go much higher, consumers will likely have a been-there-done-that mentality, McKelvey said. But as prices approach $3.50 or $4, more and more households will hit their budgetary breaking point, forcing them to choose between driving and spending.

"Should the current trend continue into next quarter, a change in Fed policy would likely follow -- just when most have written off the possibility," wrote Tony Crescenzi, chief bond market strategist for Miller Tabak & Co. "This is a very big if -- sales might rebound if energy prices fall -- but the setup for a shift in Fed policy is the best it has been thus far."

looking at pictures in school books & on the net, pictures of the honored,   the well heeled,

th ruthless & wood-toothed, called mayors & governors & senators, etc., from time begun 

& anybody can still wonder WHY gas is pushing up to near 4 dollars? Refineries?  Right!

if there is a will there’s a way.   &, more so now than in history,  there is a will for Greed

& the will for greed fulfillment has never been so skillfully guarded by the few,  wielded

with fetid impunity…and carried-out with such genius of state & local legislation & con 

i am in awe.  Horror & awe.  A mournful sort of awe…believing that there is no reprieve;

no ways & means of checks & balances left to we-the-people of the world humanity grid

if better than one third of the entire revenues stream is premeditatedly usurped by present

and retired hierarchy,  leaving only the  butt end  of two thirds of the prosperity pie for all

other operating & service costs,    …the cost of living will continue to rise and the cost to

humanity will continue to press the panic buttons sending our civilization into despair.   &,

with despair will follow crime & every sort of escalated   man’s inhumanity to man.     The

likes of it perhaps never experienced before in Earth’s warped & far from unsullied history

the only possible thing to save us from  what the bankers want us to believe is ourselves  is

th potential for a few truly honorable intellectual congresspersons of power & benevolence 

to  rise up  off their comfortable collective asses and strike a fury fist against the very stand 

that chains them & their US constituents to the post & gears that turn the mills that grind us

if we are lucky & this is some portion of the darkness before the dawn of a new renaissance

of human illumination,   then let those who can rise above this self-indulgence have at it soon 

yep, …for sake of our grandkids…and the fun in the sun that we could be having right here

and now, I hope, oh you know I hope, that we can pull our collective heads up outa th sand
