This war is being fought to control the Middle East. It is pure strategy dreamed up by likes of Wolfowitz and Rumsfield and the rest of the PNAC clan. They finally got their puppet, George, to do their bidding. And as long as his churchey shtick is working with middle America (and can keep the PNACs around)...more power to him.
